Day 1 – Rainbow Beach to Fraser Island

Your 4WD adventure begins with some of Fraser Island’s inland sights including Lake McKenzie, Basin Lake, and the magnificent rainforest. Your ranger-guide will tell you about the Island’s history, plants and animals. Tonight you will stay in Wilderness Lodge accommodation. (LD)

Day 2 – Fraser Island

Today you’ll hit the beach with a drive along the world’s most amazing highway, Seventy-Five Mile Beach. On the drive along the beach you will stop to see fast flowing, freshwater streams, coloured sands and the ‘Maheno’ shipwreck. Climb to the top of Indian Head and look out for sharks, huge rays and humpback whales (July to Nov). Overnight Wilderness Lodge accommodation. (BLD)

Day 3 – Fraser Island to Rainbow Beach

After a drive across the island, go for a swim in Lake Wabby before walking over Hammerstone Sandblow – a large sand feature. Swim in clear blue Lake Birrabeen. You have the option of returning to Rainbow Beach or we can drop you off in Hervey Bay. Please advise in advance.(BL)

It is very important that customers understand that a reasonable level of fitness is required for all tours. The areas in which we operate vary greatly in  terrain and weather conditions. Travellers may be required to undertake walking experiences up to 4 hours in duration in challenging conditions. Travellers must be aware that depending on which region the tour is visiting  & the southern hemisphere weather season in which you are travelling, you could encounter extremes of heat ( 40C+) or cold (-5C). By law it is required that customers advise Real Aussie Adventures or our travel partners in Australia of any pre-existing medical conditions &/or Dietary conditions before they join the tour. Customers may also be asked at time of each tour commencement to sign a liability waiver.
