This area is known as the rice bowl of Kerala and is resplendent in green paddy fields, coconut groves etc. The network of water channels and canals you traverse today takes you through uninhabited areas, vast paddy fields and pristine nature. In the years gone, these waterways were used for transporting rice and vegetables for trading.
Birdwatchers would be able to spot eagles, kingfishers, herons, egrets and many more. It may also be possible for you to go fishing with a local fisherman while he casts his net. He will be able to teach you the nuances of the local way of angling.
After the trip come back to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
