Baz Bus only collects and drops off passengers from backpacker hostels that are on the Hostel List. Accommodation costs vary from hostel to hostel.

Average costs:
Camping: R30 to R40
Dorms: R60 to R90
Single room: R80 to R130
Double room: R140 to R230

Transport

Our buses are 22 - seater semi-luxury buses, all with on-board TV & videos, and trailers capable of carrying surfboards and bicycles.

You must make a booking for your first section on the bus. We recommend that this is done at least 48 hours prior to your intended departure.

Maximum travel time on this pass is 12 months

The concept is simple: Buy one ticket to your final destination and hop on and off as often as you like along the route. There are over 180 backpackers and lodges to choose from and more than 40 cities, towns or villages to visit en-route. You get picked up and dropped off at the door of your backpacker hostel. You can travel in one direction until you reach your final destination. There is no time limit on your ticket!

Start in Cape Town and travel in one direction via the Drakensberg Mountains to Johannesburg or Pretoria. Minimum recommended travel time is 10 days but you can take as long as you want! This pass includes a free BAZ Bus Cape Peninsula day tour.
