UNESCO protected Ha Long Bay is made up of 1969 islands of various sizes. There are two kinds of islands: limestone and schist and over 3000 of them are limestone islands. While some islands are no more than a large rock, others aremuch more substantial and contain huge cathedral – like caves of stalactites. Lan Ha Bay offers numerous beaches and islands to explore, which includes subtropical green forests on the hills, freshwater swamp forests at the base of the hills and small freshwaterlakes and coral reefs.

Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay
Pick-up from your hotel at around 08:00 - 08:30 (if you haven't booked your hotel through us, please give us the name and address at least 72 hours in advance) by a minibus and driving to Ha Long harbour (about 4 hours drive). Boarding the boat and having a welcome drink. Lunch will be served on the boat while cruising and enjoying the breathtaking view around the bay. Guided visit of Sung Sot cave or Luon cave area and if the weather permits it, hiking on the Titop mountain, kayaking or swimming in the bay's emerald waters. A Vietnamese dinner will be served on the boat in the evening. After dinner enjoying the rest of the evening with karaoke, board games, movies or stargazing on the upper deck. Sleeping in clean air-conditioned rooms with private washrooms.
Day 2: Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Island
Rising early for another chance to go swimming before breakfast is served. After breakfast the boat will stop at Gia Luan pier on Cat Ba island. From there a bus drive to Cat Ba national park for some hiking or cycling. After the excursion in the national park, heading back towards Cat Ba town to check–in at the hotel, where lunch will be served. In the afternoon, time to relax at the hotel, shop along the sea-side strip, visit to Cat Co beaches or a trip to Monkey Island with the tour guide.

Day 3: Cat Ba Island - Ha Long Bay - Hanoi
Rising early to enjoy the sunrise or sleeping a little longer (check out at 08:45). Heading back to Gia Luan pier by bus and boarding the boat to make the way back to Ha Long harbor. Lunch is served on the boat, while sailing back to Ha Long harbor. Drive from the harbor back to Hanoi, and dropping off at the hotel.

This product may be affected by Vietnamese TET (New Year) – normally in Jan/Feb. Specific dates are blocked in the booking calendar if and when not bookable.
What can you expect during TET? The lunar New Year is very important to the Vietnamese. The days are spent together with family and relatives in private homes to celebrate. Expect the streets to be fairly empty and life at street level to be very limited.
