As the train pushes through the mist, crispy green tea plantations greet you well before the train reaches the cultural capital of Kandy. With your personal driver you will proceed to Worlds End by foot which passes through narrow mountain roads to Ella for some Sri Lankan cooking, high above the valleys. Continue to Udawalawe where there is the highest concentration of wild elephant in Asia, and then to the beach in hammocks; look for traces from turtles in the early mornings, and fragile purple seashells. Then you are off to a colonial place, to see the mighty blue whales before you head back to Colombo. On your journey, stay in places with personality. Explore with drivers that are proud, yet easy going. From mountains high to the bluest sea. Sri Lanka gets you an addiction.

Day 1: Arrive in Colombo
Arrive in bustling, shaky, colorful Colombo, with all its red and green tuk-tuks, trees with canopies shading the roads below, small cricket fields and food stalls. Transfer to a small but unique hotel in Colombo 7.
Over night at hotel.
Day 2: Colombo to Kandy
After breakfast, check out and depart to Fort Railway station by 07:00 am. Board the train for a fine ride to Kandy in a class that in Sri Lanka is called 1st class. The train pushes its way through small villages with sleepy stations, station masters with green and red flags, and flowers all over. Up through the mountains. Closely past waterfalls, into the clouds.
Upon arrival at the cultural capital of Sri Lanka, Kandy, your personal driver will welcome you and take you to your hotel.
After freshening up go to Kandy view point. This will be followed by Kandian dance starting at 17:00. Later in the evening visit the temple of tooth.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Kandy to Nowara Eliaya
After breakfast your driver takes you by true mountain roads through green mountains, with tea plantations clad in light green with dots of color from the workers picking leaves, to Ramboda waterfall. You can have lunch on the way. You will visit the Tea estate at Labookale, famous for a fine variety of mountain tea, to get the story of tea making.
Later arrive Nowara Elliya at around 15:00. Check in at you hotel, and relax. Should you have some energy left, you can visit the Victoria park or do some short treks.

Day 04: Nowara Elliya to Ella
It will be an early start before sun has the grip. At this time it will be cold and crisp. And you should bring a sweater, and a breakfast pack. First you drive out to the Horton plains, a wild moorland where you go for a trek. Suddenly you will be at the world's end and it seems like all Sri Lanka lies for your feet. Then drive back to your hotel.
Later you proceed with your driver through stunning mountain scapes to Ella, the slow mountain village most people come to love. Check in, in a place overlooking the mountains and if you are still curious and your legs still fresh you can visit the waterfall and the ridge nearby for a fine sunset. If you stay back, the view is just as rewarding.

Day 05: Ella
After breakfast and a slow relaxing morning get ready for a simple though inspiring cooking class. Try your hands in preparing some delicious Sri Lankan delicacies, and the spicy, fresh treat will be served to you for lunch.
Later in the day you may just relax for a lazy afternoon or go to the beautiful Ravana falls and enjoy the scenery along the road with colorful food stalls, large rainforest trees, slow market towns and a flow of tuk-tuks. There are also other old temples and a cave near by for a perfect evening.
Over night in Ella.
1 child up to 5 years of age is free of charge if sharing bed with parents.
For children aged 06 to 11 years - Extra bed will be provided for 50% of the adult price
Children aged 12 years and above will be treated as adult.

Colombo and Hill country (Kandy, Nuwara Elliya and Ella) receive rainfall round the year except Jan to Mar.
