This adventurous overlanding journey is very special and one that will be loved by all outdoor enthusiasts - our fantastic North American trip between Anchorage and Banff through Alaska and western Canada! This journey is packed full of some of the most spectacular National Parks in the world, including Denali, Jasper and Banff to name a few - in which you'll see mighty forests, pristine lakes, colossal glaciers, beautiful alpine mountains and rivers, and hopefully even some grizzly bears. Travelling in our unique converted American school bus, you'll be embarking on one of the planet's great road trips, winding your way through the wilds of Alaska and the forest-covered slopes of Canada's mountain country. You will learn about the Klondike gold rush of Dawson, visit some of the old mining areas scattered throughout the area, and learn about the life and culture of the Ksan Native Americans on an overnight stay. You'll experience camping out in the vast Alaskan wilderness, get plenty of opportunities to trek through the breathtaking landscapes, and have the chance to enjoy some exhilirating outdoor activities such as ice-climbing in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park! This trip ends in the glittering Canadian city of Banff, a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and just a hop away from Calgary.   • Day 1 Banff

    Border information: If you are joining in Banff, you will most likely enter Canada at Calgary International Airport (IATA code: YYC). There will be an important group meeting at 10:00am at the joining hotel - please look out at the hotel reception for a note from your leader with more details about this important meeting. The rest of the day is free to explore Banff and its stunning surroundings. Please note that many of the options listed below will only be possible for those with extra time in Banff before the start of your trip with us - please contact the Sales team if you would like to book pre-tour accommodation with us to have extra time exploring Banff. In Banff we will stay in dormitory rooms in a centrally-located hostel.

  • Day 2 to 3 Banff

    We will have two full days to freely explore the town of Banff, the spectacular Banff National Park, and take part in the myriad of optional activities available here. Please note that depending on the general preference of the group, the second free day scheduled here could alternatively be used to have more time in Jasper or anywhere else on this trip - it is essentially a spare day to be used flexibly.

  • Day 4 Jasper

    Today we have a scenic drive along the Icefields Parkway to the town of Jasper, travelling through both Banff and Jasper National Parks. En route we will have an included visit to Lake Louise and the Athabasca Falls. In Jasper we will camp at a well-equipped campsite. Estimated Drive Time - 8-9 hours (please note that all drive times given here are the approximate number of hours that the truck will be in motion only, and does not include any time taken for coffee or lunch stops, border crossings, photo stops, activities en route, comfort breaks, shopping stops, toilet stops, etc. The times given are approximate estimates only and whilst given with the best of intentions, the drive times are heavily dependent on traffic, road conditions, weather, police roadblocks, and many other factors - flexibility is essential on any overland trip!).

  • Day 5 Jasper

    Today we will have a free day to explore the stunning Jasper National Park or take part in optional activities such as hiking, rafting, biking, or taking the Skytram up the near Whistlers' Mountain.

  • Day 6 Francois Lake

    Today we will drive away from the Rocky Mountains to stay at the area of François Lake. In François Lake we will camp at a well-equipped campsite. Estimated Drive Time - 9-10 hours.
