Experience new adventures with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course as you step beyond the PADI Open Water Diver level. By conducting these five dives you have the opportunity to try some of diving's most rewarding and useful specialty activities, such as deep diving, digital underwater photography, night diving and much more. This license allows you to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 30 meters As with all courses, the professionalism of the dive center and the instructor is vital. Pair up incredible jungle on land with amazing diving in the ocean and a top class dive center in Quepos and you will have an experience for life.
The beauty of the reef here is not the corals growing in it, but the topography of the old lava flow. Big boulders, underwater mazes and dramatic walls are what you will be surrounded by. Take these incredible formations and add a healthy marine life to it such as most common reef fish, some funky octopus and a good variety of eels and crustaceans. For the larger pelagic, you might get lucky with anything from reef sharks, rays, sea turtles, dolphins and in season the majestic humpback whales and manta rays (Dec - April).
The PADI Advanced Open Water course will get you even more comfortable in the water by simply completing five adventure dives under the supervision of a PADI Instructor. If you're looking to build your confidence and gain more experience, this is the natural next step on the ladder. The course is designed so you can go straight into it after the Open Water Diver course.
The course builds on what you've already learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities in diving. Alter your skills by completing 5 adventure dives introducing you to: - Underwater navigation - Deeper water diving (from 18-30 meters) - 3 Adventure Dives of your choice You and your instructor choose from 15 types of Adventure Dives to complete your course.
Your resort: Hostel Plinio is a high quality backpacker’s hostel located right next to our dive center. The hostel is a very relaxed and a green place to hang out. There's a lovely pool, great hammock areas, restaurant and bar. It is a very cool, different and "jungly feely" place. Fits the area we think! Your room As a standard, we have created the packages at this destination with the dorm rooms as accommodation for you... Because they are NICE dorm rooms. However, you can easily be upgraded to a private room for an extra fee during the booking process.
There are several options to get from San Jose to Quepos; Drive, Public Bus, Private Shuttle or flight. (see brochure for more info)
